I suggest swapping your Swalot for a Fire type like Arcanine. Arcanine has a mix of respectable Speed, Attack, and Sp. Attack. You can get a Fire Stone from competing in Pokethlons. You may also get one on rarely rare occasions from a Schoolboy on Route 36.
If you're willing to put in the effort, you can get a Dratini for free after you defeat Clair and go to the Dragon's Den. The head Sage will give you a 5 question quiz to answer. Answer them in this order, with 1 being the top, 2 being the middle and 3 being the bottom: 1, 1, 3, 1, 2.
After you get your Badge from Clair, leave the Dragon's Den, go to Professor Elm's Lab to get the Master Ball, and head back to the Dragon's Den. The Sage will give you a Dratini that knows Extremespeed, a move that Dratini doesn't normally know.
Dratini may take a while to train and evolve into a Dragonite, but it'll be capable of decimating enemies nicely. Dragonite learns a variety of moves via TM or leveling up, and it makes a great Fire type or Pidgeot substitute.
If you get a Fire type, eliminate Ampharos' Fire Punch because it runs off of its low Attack. Replace it with Discharge or Thunderbolt. Have Quagsire use Rain Dance to make Ampharo's Thunder 100% accurate. They'll really help you out in defeating Clair's Kingdra. You might be able to paralyze it too.
Your Hitmontop doesn't have any particularly good moves. I suggest using a Heart Scale to get Blackthorn City's Move Tutor to teach it either Revenge, Rolling Kick, or Triple Kick. Eliminate Rapid Spin and get the Move Deleter in Blackthorn City to make Hitmontop forget Rock Smash.
I usually don't use Quagsire because of its low Speed, but I guess it's okay by the standards of others. Replace Surf with Rock Tomb or some other Rock type move.
Replace Pidgeot's Air Slash with Aerial Ace. You can find it in Mt. Mortar. If you're using that Dragonite that I suggested, then replace Pidgeot with it.
You'll want to replace Meganium's Cut with either Magical Lear and/or even Petal Dance (While Meganium holds a Persim Berry to heal confusion caused 2-3 turns later.) Replace Sludge Bomb with something else. Poison type moves are only effective against Grass types.
If you have other Pokemon games, especially ones where you've already defeated the Elite 4 the first time, and another DS, you'll have even more viable options.
