West Chester
Where to live near Newark and West Chester?
My g/f and I are narrowing down our graduate school options and the U of Delaware would be a good fit for me and West Chester University for her. The total distance between is 30 miles (50 mins). We would like to live together, and she would need to maintain her in state status (pennsylvania). Do you think this is feasible and do you know of any towns in between in which we could live together?
Look around in the Kennett Square and Avondale areas. Either is more or less mid-point between Newark and West Chester and both are nice. If Pennsylvania residence is not important, then Hockessin, Delaware could also be considered.
Just realize that these are all at best far suburbs and even rural/small town (with all the good and bad that comes with that). If that works for you, then you should be fine.
