Highway Postcard
Which Vacation: Drive down the Pacific Coast Highway vs. Just go to Hawaii for 8 days?
I'm going to do one or the other this May. Which one should I do. I'll send a postcard to the best answer.
WOW, I have never been to Hawaii and I have always wanted to go, but not for me, it was my moms dream to go there and she passed away and never got to go and I thought if I went she could see it through my eyes, because I think she is always with me. I did hear it is very pricey there though so if that is where you go check with the locals for the best places to eat and the best deals don't be swayed by the tourist guides.
I have been up and down the Pacific Coast Highway though and it is beautiful and if you do like wine there are so many wonderful little winery's along the way that you can stop and enjoy and lots of little towns that have quaint little shops and I do remember one little town that was all done up like a little Dutch Village and there is some place that does this thing called the Ramona Pageant at a certain time of year and that is wonderful I loved it! I do love the ocean and when you get to San Francisco there is China Town and so many great shops there and then the cable cars and then the Golden Gate Bridge and the you have to try the sour dough bread. Then when you are in Southern California there is the shops near San Diego and Sea World you must go there and maybe you can still get reservations to swim with the dolphins and then perhaps you could take the glass bottom boat out to Catalina Island oh it is a wonderful drive.
