What is there difference in a state prison and a federal prison?
Is it true that a federal prison does not do parole or early release for good behavior?
There are two types of criminal law in the US, state and federal. If you violate a state law, you go to a state run prison. The same for federal prison.
Federal prison uses "truth in sentencing" which means you serve your entire sentence without time for good behavior. However, you can serve federal parole.
