Soldiers Sailors
If gays can openly serve in the military, can Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and Marines leave that are against it?
If the the US government is allowing homosexuals to join the military will they let anyone who is morally against it have an honorable discharge on the spot?
BTW I got out of the USMC back in 2007 after going to Iraq twice. So I am not even in the military any more. I am asking out of curiosity.
Any answers you have been given are patently incorrect. The details about implementation will be worked out over the next few months and none of these clowns know how that will turn out.
The fact is, the falsely reported DOD study actually acknowledged that there are going to be short term consequences for what they are dong. In any event the implementation of this law substantially alters the conditions of employment and the individual's contract so this will have to be reviewed and a decision will be made. Then it will be tested in the courts.
If the military is smart, they will allow for early separation of soldiers who object to being forced to serve along side of openly gay individuals as a failure to do so may very well have fatal consequences.
