Question about the Yeager family in Pennsylvania?
My great grandmother who I never met was from Pennsylvania possibly around the Williamsport area. Her name was Ella Yeager and she married my great-grandfather who's surname was Beaver. I have not met either of them, but I heard they were French. Any help would be great. Thanks.
Yeager is a Pennsylvania Dutch name. There are lots of Yeagers in Lancaster Co., PA. Here are some in Lycoming Co., PA, which is where Williamsport is.

Yeager is German for "hunter" (huntsman). In German it's Jaeger. Happy hunting!
