Indiana Postcards
Switzerland questions?
OK, I am going to Switzerland tomorrow and I have SOME questions...
1. I am looking to send a postcard to Indiana,how much would that cost,how much is the average sent postcard from switzerland?
2.How much is a piece of swiss chocolate,better yet A POUND?
3.Is it REALLY cold there?
1. The stamp for a postcard to the US is 1.40 or 1.80, depending if you want B-post or A-post. I haven't found a real difference, they get there pretty much the same time and don't get lost. If you can't find a post office, which is rare, there are a lot of them, sometimes near the mailbox there's a machine that you can "make" stamps at. Postcards themselves vary in price, anywhere from 1 franc to 3. Also in post offices in some tourist towns you can get pre-stamped postcards and/or postcard-only stamps, that end up cheaper.
2. Depends on the quality. No one knows what pounds are here, ask for half a kilo which is a bit more.
3. Only on the mountaintops.
