what is the best way to get to long beach ny from bensonhurst brooklyn?
i know about the LIRR from penn station to long beach. but are there any stops in bensonhurst, brooklyn that i can take directly? i live near the n and f train stops in brooklyn. if not, if i were to buy the fare in penn station to long beach on the LIRR...how much is the fare? one-way, 2 way? thx in advance.
You have to take two LIRRs.
From Long Beach (Zone 7) to Flatbush Av (Zone 1) via transfer at Jamaica (Zone 3), it cost $9.75 peak and $7.0ff-peak but must be purchase from ticket office or LIRR Vending Machine. Peak areas are shaded on your LIRR Timestable.
1. Take Long Beach Branch to Jamaica Station.
2. Transfer to any LIRR to Flatbush Av.
3. Follow sign to Atlantic Av B/D/M/N/R.
4. Paid $2 with MTA MetroCard or by 7-Day Pass which cost $7.50 and take Coney Island-bound (D) or (N). Depends where you going.
