Which Car To Get, 1996 Lincoln Town Car or 1996 Toyota Corolla?

Which is better to get? I have a kid and heard that the Lincoln is very roomy and very comfortable. But I heard Lincoln lacks in the department of reliability? And everyone already knows that Toyota is known for the quality cars they build. And the corolla has better town and highway MPG.
And which car is rated safer?
And I forgot to mention I already have a Honda Civic Coupe. I just want a 4 dour for my daughter. (It's a b*tch to put a baby seat in a 2 door)

Brand reliability has very little effect on a 14 year old car. Although Lincolns have a reputation for poor reliability I would much rather have a well maintained Lincoln than an abused Toyota. You just need to thoroughly inspect both cars and then decide. All things being equal the Lincoln will be a safer car because of its size and weight but gets worse mileage. If you're not going to be driving much mileage means next to nothing. If you're going to be driving a lot it's easy enough to estimate your annual fuel cost and decide if you want to pay the price.
