How can you make the best of a base/location you do not like?
What did you personally do that made it bearable/made you happy? There's a very good chance I may be living in Enid Oklahoma for 3 more years. (been here for 5 months already) I try to stay upbeat and find fun things, but wow, it's pretty bleak here lol.
This can be said for any area you are stationed. Try to keep a positive attitude, and find a hobby that you enjoy. Hang out with friends, start a relationship, build a car, skydive, do anything to keep your mind and body busy. Try to knock out some more college and get a jump on your career. There are soo many things that you can do.
All of the people that I meet that hate the area they are in hang out with people that also hate the area. The company you keep will drastically affect the way you feel about the area you are in. Put yourself out there and start enjoying yourself.
