What do you all think about Postcrossing? Should I give it a try?
Recently, I saw something about the postcard crossing project on postcrossing.com. The goal of this project is to allow people to receive postcards from all over the world, for free. Well, almost free!
The main idea is that: if you send a postcard, you will receive at least one back from a random Postcrosser from somewhere in the world. It looks very interesting but what do you think?
I joined quiet some time ago and I must say I love it! It's a lot of fun getting cards from all over the world. You learn alot about countries, people and culture and you will certainly have many moments of joy! You will sure be doing better in Trivial Pursuit as well as this is really educating after a while. Some facts you hear about will stick in your mind.
You will also get cards that leave a big smile on your face because they are simply beautiful or touch your heart with some kind words. Sounds weird I know, but yourealisee this only when you are participating!

But be careful It's pretty addictive to! You will become friend with your postman and soon you want get past any shops that sell postcards! Your family and friends will think you a weird or worse a freak because they cant simply imagine that someone get's crazy about postcards (they might think this is boring but they got no clue how wrong they are "lol")
You will probably find some new "friends" as well and although you may never meet them in person (since they live at the other side of the world) you will think about them when you are on holidays and send them a card just to put a smile on their face.
But you will be sharing their vacation as well as they certainly send you a card while away.
You will spend more money because of stamps and cards but it is worth every single cent.
So I think you should definitly give it a try! You have nothing to loose! You decide yourself how much you will get involved, how many cards you will send (and therefore receive) and you will be the master of your budget It's free, it's fun and if for some reason I can't think about you dont like it well you can allways stop again.
