Pine Crest
What does this poem say, and if you like, why?
By: Darcy Cummings afternoon was a, I learned my body like a blind child leaving a school wall for the first time, stumbling corridors costs to a world dense with the smell and sound, pines blow in the wind roaring like a huge chorus of insects. I was making wet flowers, touched weed riding the crest of a ridge stony and the ground covered with brush on low hills. Haystacks started to burn, smoke rose like translucent sheets of mica. Air Thick hummed son hung on wheat which was lying in the area invaded listen to the cries of little rabbits jumping under my skin.
It's about discovering the feelings, the sensation of things on the body and how they can be beautiful, even sensitive. The reference to the blind is that if a blind person grew up in a school wall, feeling life would be limited to what they may feel the school walls, but then if they were to leave school for the outside world and nature, the sensation of feeling would be a blast to the brain - the smell, the sounds and feel things would be like if nothing ever - and so the poet feels at the first discovery of his own feelings - located if you wish - It feels like the vibrant world of its description. In terms of I do I love? Yes, it's a beautiful object, simple but cute. Hope this helps
