What happens to you if you miss a court date for a restraining order?
Like if you are going to extend it, but you don't show up for your court date?
And what happens if the person who is getting the order on them is accused of breaking the first temp. one? What does the judge do to you(who dosent show up) and the other person who does show up but is accused of going aganist it?
In the case of a protection order. If one, or both of the parties fail to show may decide to continue the order, or allow it to expire. This is mainly based on if the other party showed for court. If so the judge may find in their favor. What you need to do now is call the county clerk and see who drew you case (what judge was it assigned to) then ask to leave a message for the judge to contact you. The judge or his staff will call you and advise you of what the status is and what the verdict was. Also, if the judge feels you had a reason to be out of court they may extend the order of protection on the spot.
