Buying home with bad credit?
Greetings,
I have a situation and would like assistance. I live in a home for which I was informed the owner is letter go into foreclosure. The house will go up for sheriff sale September 1st. I am about to come into a large sum of money relatively some (over $100k) I would like to buy a house but I have over $20k of debt and my credit report does not look good. Last I checked my credit score is about 530 and I have a few judgment on my credit report.
My intent is to payoff the debt on my credit report. I would like to buy a house and hopefully put at least half down. I have a stable job for which I have been at for 16 year.
Any advice as to if this workable?

At this point you can't buy anything unless you can buy it for 100% cash. If you can pay everything off, especially those judgments and wait a year or so for your credit to improve you can buy something, of course depending on your income.
