Lakeside Ohio
Oriented people who fish Lake Erie, particularly the Northwest Ohio (Sandusky, Port Clinton, Lakeside, etc.)?
I live in Fremont, Ohio, Sandusky River runs right and, of course, by Lake Erie. We just finished our Walleye spawning season and they have all headed back up the lake. This is a question in 2 parts. 1) Where are the best places to fish the lake from the shore this time of year for walleye and / or the pole? 2) What is the best bait / platform to use at this time (Standard or darling series crawler harness for walleye yellow, usually shining series for the pole)? Thank you to all who responded with relevance!
I use to live in Sandusky and pier Huron is productive enough, use a rattle trap or a countdown lure used both to recover slowly good luck, and you will need a net with a handle at least 10 feet to land them the pier is fairly far from water.
