What would the effect be if the land between Lake Superior and Hudson bay Dropped?
The U.S.G.S. conducted tests in that area in the Late 70's early 80's. one of the results was fractures in the bedrock, causing mildly unstable sections of the land. A moderate eathquake could result in a 20' to 40' drop in the land in that area.

It would depend on where it dropped and how far. At the very least, I assume you are talking about changing the drainage of Lake Superior so that it no longer flowed into the St. Mary's River, but instead flowed northward through Canada. This is bound to have a drastic effect on the shape of Lake Superior and the states/province bordering it.
To say nothing of the potentially thousands of Canadians displaced and the disruption to shipping.
