California Palm Old
To live in California?
I'm 19, and plan to attend college in California next year. Right now I live in a city of 60,000 people, very safe and useful people. I'm good in the big cities and can find my away just about anywhere, but I want mountains, palm trees, beaches and great night life. I thought of Seaside, California, since it is quite small, but near San Francisco. I also like 70-80 degrees. My main concern is that live too far north would be boring, but too far south I could get killed .. So give me some entries impartial!
Since you want to palm trees and beaches I suggest Southern California from the coast is very cold in Northern California. It is just as safe in Southern CA as it is in Northern California. San Diego is one of the safest cities in America and large is safer that San Francisco has almost 2x the SD population that SF, but about half the number of murders. I was born and raised in the Bay Area and moved to SD for college six years ago and stayed after graduation, both places are great, but SD may be more of what you are looking for. The nightlife is great in SD, especially in Pacific Beach, which is the best beach in the community Ca, in my opinion. Everyone in PB is 20-30 and people are very friendly and chill there. Tijuana is cool for less than 21 and the crowd is much safer to visit. The mountains are about an hour and ski resorts around 2-2.5 hours. You will not find 70 to Under 80 degrees anywhere along the coast in northern CA except perhaps five days of the year. Santa Cruz tends to be warmer than b / c it faces south, so that could be a community that is worth checking out. SD is roughly between 70-80 years round and it rains barely there also, the weather in SD is incredible. There are tons of community colleges in the region and four major universities, including UC San Diego, San Diego State, University of San Diego and Cal State University San Marcos. SD housing is expensive compared to other parts of the country, but not as higher than the Bay area of SF or LA / Orange County. You can get seats near the beach so as not to compared to what you would pay in SF or LA. North County SD is a bit more suburban / rural, if you do not want to be right in San Diego and beach communities as well.
