Modifications for A Dune Buggy?
My son recently brought a single seater 250cc Dune Buggy, it is quite a good dune buggy, but we are wondering how we could make it better or modify it in anyway. The performance is quite good but if a big bore kit was bought it may snap the gear box or something, but are there any modifications we can do to the motor or to the external features (seat, head lights, roll cage....) thank-you for your help.
Exhaust , air intake, and some people have shaved the head to make it have higher compression,
Is this chain driven? If so you can change sprockets on motor and axle to get higher rpm's,
Some might say to check the reed valve and replace that for better horses.
As for the exterior, you can just about add any extra that you desire from seats to lights.
If you DO NOT have a roll cage, them by all means get one and put it on...safety first....
You can change the tire size, but beware of what you do, some bigger tires will take away your power as a 250 is small.
