What do contestants in beauty pageants do when they need to wear a bathing suit but are currently menstruating?

What do they do to avoid menstruation stains? Are tampons enough? Do they make them take oral contraceptive pills to control their periods?

Some women bleed more than others. If you are a heavy bleeder, than you should try the super absorbent tampons and also wear a darker swimsuit bottom ( in case of any accidents). Also, change your tampon more often to guard against any possible accidents. Like every 3 to 4 hours instead of 6.

If I were in a pageant I would probably manipulate my menstruation with birth control pills and make sure to stop taking them in time to have it before the competition. However, I do think tampons will suffice for most ladies.
